October 03, 2010

After a long afternoon running around at the shops, I came home to the farm, lit a fire and watched the sun set over the paddocks with a cup of tea.

It's my Mum's birthday! Peter made this incredible black forest cake, and it was devine.

We are housesitting this week for our good friends the O'Donohues. They live just out of town, and the drive home each night has provided some seriously beautiful sunset views.

Raw Honey practice was at Ian and Kathryn's house this week, and their son had this really beautiful butterfly puzzle. It is made for toddlers, but it presented a challenge to several of the Honeys, myself included.

I ordered some cute thumb tacks from Etsy (a website selling the most incredible hand made things from small businesses around the States), and they arrived today. Such a nice bit of colour to add to my desk at work.

Today I planted some new flowers at my Dad's grave. The daphine we put in last year is going really well, and the people around us have started planting as well, so it is becoming a very cheerful little corner!

We're staying with Karl's Dad and Step-mum at the moment, and today they picked up the most incredible Kangaroo Paw from the farmer's markets.

We went for a little drive to Wollongong today, to catch up with our very good friend Chris "The Kid" Bush. It was a nice day for a drive, and so great to see the Kid again. It was a quick visit though, just time for a drink and a chat.

On my way to meeting Kate and Emma for drinks I saw these awesome planter boxes on the side of a building. What a great idea! I can't wait to be able to use them in a project or on our house maybe...
